Magnus#25 – Vill du ha mig imorgon

Magnus # 25 – Vill du ha mig imorgon  (Will you love me tomorrow / Orig. Gerry Goffin / Carole King)
“Will you love me tomorrow” was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and the song has been recorded by many different artists. It became famous by The Shirelles who had a hit with it in 1960. When Carole King recorded it on her second solo album Tapestry, 1971, the song was back in its original character. I fell in love with the song when I saw the musical Beautiful in NYC,  about Carole King’s life and her incredible music. In my translation, “Vill du ha mig imorgon”,  I think of everything from short time passions to loyalty in friendship.
(Back translation of the Swedish version to English:
“You said that this was forever.
It’s not something I’m used to.
You said.
We are one.
In eternity.
But do you want me tomorrow.”)
