Lena#3 – Lisa the therapy dog (Clip 3 of 3).
Lena Holmberg, my teacher from compulsory school, has read all about pedagogy that can be read. But with her experiences of palliative care of her own son, and when she became owner of the dog Lisa, the idea of training and education woke up again. Lisa was put in school to become a therapy dog, and now she is a trained to help and soothe the pain for old patients or offering people with autism, a moment of joy and togetherness. I see clear similarities with Lena’s teaching and pedagogy skills and her stamina to work and develop Lisa. It is equally clear that I’m Lena’s old dog, and Lisa is her new – slightly younger. I hope that the films of Lena inspires you to make contact with someone who was important to you, early in life. Can we get enough of inspiring role models when we grow up? Have we said ”Thank you” to the ones we had? And can you can maybe be one yourself to someone?

Lena Holmberg, min lärare från mellanstadiet, har läst allt om pedagogik som går att att läsa. Men med sina erfarenheter av palliativa vård av sin egen son och när hon blev matte till hunden Lisa, väcktes tanken på utbildning och pedagogik igen. Lisa fick gå en terapihundskola och är idag utbildad vårdhund som kan hjälpa och lugna gamla patienter eller erbjuda autistiska personer en stund av närhet och samvaro. Jag ser tydliga likheter med Lenas lärar- och pedagogik-kunskaper och uthålligheten att arbeta och utveckla Lisa. Lika tydligt blir det att jag är Lenas gamla hund, och Lisa är hennes nya – något yngre., Jag hoppas att filmerna om Lena inspirerar till att ta kontakt med någon som varit viktigt för Dig, tidigt i livet. Kan vi få nog av inspirerande förebilder när vi växer upp? Har vi sagt tack till dom vi haft? Och kanske kan du vare en själv för någon?
